Making a studio a home

Behind the Scenes

Our studio must be many things but essentially, it’s an expression of who we are, and what we believe in.

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is the abundance of natural light coming from a wall of floor to ceiling windows running the whole length of the office. The light is at its best late afternoon when it fills the studio with amazing shadows. Light is important, it makes us feel good.

The next thing you’ll notice is how open plan the studio is. It’s almost a completely uninterrupted space. This helps collaboration and the flow of ideas which is a core part of our business. It’s easy just to speak up and get an instant contribution to an idea, anytime.

On the back wall, we have one of our core beliefs written out in large letters ‘LESS IS MORE WORK’. The team hand painted this to remind them of the importance of keeping it simple and that simple does require more thought and work. Simple is easy to explain and if you can explain your idea simply you really understand it. If you can’t you don’t understand it well enough. Great brands are based on simple, memorable ideas that can be easily told.

On another wall, sitting on picture shelves, you can see the best of our work. Each piece of work is printed and bulldog clipped to plywood boards. A simple, effective way to display work and easy to take down and put back up.

Our two meeting areas serve different needs. Casual on sofas or more formal around a meeting table. For internal get together’s we tend to head for the sofas!

Our home is always open… why not pop in for a brew?
